>[Zannanza](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zannanza) was a Hittite prince, son of Suppiluliuma I, king of the Hittites. He is best known for almost becoming the pharaoh of Egypt, but his disappearance under mysterious circumstances caused a diplomatic incident between the Hittites and Egyptian Empire, resulting in a war that ultimately resulted in the death of Suppliluliuma by an unknown plague and a long-lived rivalry between Egypt and the Hittites. >His disappearance is the earliest recorded case of a missing person.

One of the comments accurately mentioned the details of the Zannaza affair as this whole incident is known. Let me add some things about the Egyptian side: \* The Egyptian queen is thought to be Ankhesenamun, widow of Tutankhamun. \* She might have sent the letters because she was being pressured to marry the courtier Ay (this is only suspicion). \* After the Hittite marriage fell through, Ankhesenamun married Ay, and she died soon after. \* It is suspected that Ay might have been behind the murder/disappearance of the Hittite prince, but again, there is no evidence.

OH geez, you make one offer to the enemy kingdom about letting them take over cause your brother-husband died and your advisors start plotting your death because were not fucking surrendering to our biggest enemies because you dont like commoners.
