Ah surely Teddy would have learned his lesson, and not joined an election only to split the vote and give the victory to a democrat again

Some background context: Though largely forgotten today, Henry George was one of, if not, the most famous political figure of his time. In 1886, he ran for NYC mayor under the Labor Party and nearly won, but his support was split by a young Theodore Roosevelt, handing the race to the conservative Democrat. George’s anti-monopoly ideas inspired the Georgist movement and helped shape Roosevelt’s later trust-busting agenda. George’s book “Progress and Poverty,” was one of the best selling books worldwide. If anyone’s not sure who Henry George was, or what Georgism is, [BritMonkey did a pretty good video covering it](https://youtu.be/smi_iIoKybg?si=fKtOQz7y4OYTP2sc). Or check out /r/Georgism

Another day, another example of idiotic of FPTP voting system.
