I thought it was Ancient Indians , who invented zero , Who this guy?
Brahmagupta or Aryabhatta. One of these guys invented 0. Both were from what is today India. (So I dont get why the Indian looking guy is making fun of the guy)
There is a vast difference in vast difference in creating zero and actually undertaking complex mathematical operations with it. Some others may have created 0 before but it was the Indians that first used them for arithmetic operations , the concept of the placement of a digit in a number deciding its value was created by Indians and using alegbra/negative numbers using 0 etc. The work undertaken in the field of arithmetics by ancient India basically kick started commerce as traders could now do more calculations more effectively and easily on paper.
