King Albert I of Belgium, known as the “Soldier King,” remained with his troops near the front throughout World War I and became a symbol of Belgian resistance against Germany. After surviving the war and leading Belgium through its recovery, he died in a rock-climbing accident near Marche-les-Dames, Belgium, in 1934.

One of the weirdest concepts ever is the presence of mountain terrain in Belgium.

He wanted it to be known that there were cliffs in Belgium!
