I kind of wonder why the Cross of St Peter became associated with Satan after the rise of Protestantism (not enough to research it though, I vaguely chalk it up to Protestants hating anything to do with Catholics.) St Peter is kind of the iconic pop-culture Saint, a lot of non specific Christian media still portrays him as the greeter at the pearly gate even when made in cultures that dont really do the whole Saint thing, but the symbol related to him is interpreted as bad by a lot of the smaller denominations. Its rather weird tbh.
