As much as I love the romanticize version of revolutionary storming the gate and overthrow the government, the cold hard truth is that the protest is so successful the way it is because the army LET IT to be. The only reason the protest succeeded is because the PM didnt have the support of the army; partly because of the bad blood between the communist PM and the army, whom not so many years ago was still fighting the communist rebel.
