These guys were not doing much with respect to “founding” the country in 1776. Nathan Hale had a great quote but was as good a spy as you’d expect someone his age to be. Constitution was drafted 11 years later.
One of the greatest Follys of our generation is that we expect people to grow old before they can change the world. In reality, no one has more energy or reason to impart change than the youth. I think one of the biggest reasons we see our political structures failing is that they are currently run primarily by geezers who are barely holding of senility.
