I always hate when a successor to a king immediately just gives the nobles everything they want. In most cases it goes against what the predecessor did.
Its funnier when it all happens with one monarch, like e.g. Polands Bolesław III, really great ruller... Until he decided to implement one of the worst succession systems plunging state into de facto 200 years of civil war. Literally undermined all his lifework on a deathbed.
A shitty president is elected --> he coast off the stability of the previous administration for the first 2-3 years --> he fucks the economy --> a competent president is elected --> he starts to, but doesnt fix everything immediately --> stability is associated with rival party --> a shitty president is elected ♻️
