During the greek Persian wars of 300 fame, an Athenian navel commander Themistocles held his ground against the persians at Artimesium and led the Greeks to victory against the Persians at Salamasis. Years later, Athens voted to expel him from the city and later got him expelled from the Hellenistic world, so Themistocles ended up at the court of the same empire he defeated. Sometimes, the trick to telling a good story is to know where to end it.
