Back in the late aughties and early 10s, I was on a chat server with a bunch of friends and a simple Markov chain chatbot. It trained itself on our own chat, and spat out mostly gibberish and the occasional profound gem. Its the last time I enjoyed interacting with an AI.

Some friends and I used to ask the earlier LLMs for recipes, it was funny when they would tell you a vital step to making cookies was microwaving 3lb of cheddar cheese. You dont really get that type of stuff anymore.
