a more detailed explanation, for those unfamiliar with the matter: Collective Shout is an Australian feminist organization that ostensibly aims to combat sexual exploitation of women and children (though they didnt try to get Cuties taken off of Netflix so, X to doubt) Collective Shout have been the ones pressuring payment processors to crack down on what kind of games platforms like Steam & Itch.io sell/host on their platforms, first by targeting some admittedly nasty (but legal) porn games on Steam, then escalating to having Itch.io remove all NSFW games from their site (including a lot of non-pornographic horror games) As such, people are not only getting mad at payment processors, but Collective Shout as well, and rightly so.
Collective shout are most probably their fall guys. visa and master card have some christians executives who would like to see all porn gone, they just decided to humour collective shout since their demand aligned with their vision of porn censorship
