I like the coalition during the Boxer rebellion. The allure of getting a port city in China was so strong that the biggest European empires forgot they didnt like each other for a second there. And for historical accuracy I should note that the Boxer rebellion was not necessarily for the port cities but they would have been less willing to give out port cities had the boxers won.
