If every American donated $100,000, we’d still be short by about $6 trillion. But hey, at least we tried.
They could if they stopped giving the richest people in the country tax breaks, and started taxing them right. Would also help if they stopped pushing departments to use all their budget on luxery items and start transferring unnecessary funds towards under funded programs. How can the Pentagon eat in luxery while vets are on the streets? How can the FBI lead go on vacation trips, when natural disaster relief is struggling? How is it the people who make the drugs are the ones you set their price, build the pharmacies, and run the hospitals? But somehow thats more okay than the money you pay in taxes goes towards basic medical needs
The fact that one single person can reach closer to trillion while the other half remains crushed in debt cycles and being taxed left and right, does not make sense to me. Either the system favors the rich or they bend the law to fit ghe narrative
