Spoken like someone who has never in their lives actually gone through solitary confinement. My uncle is an introvert and a loner, spent his time working oil rig jobs while hiking everywhere on his months off in every country you can think of, but he very much keeps to himself. He said the 60 days of solitary he went through after being arrested for some drug related stuff was the worst time of his life. Its not about being alone, thats nice sometimes, I used to prefer it; its about the COMPLETE lack of human interaction. He started to cherish the literal 2 seconds that it would take for someone to slide food through the door. Weeks in he started talking to himself constantly, halicunating people and places, making up entire lives just so he had someone to talk to. He came out of jail a changed man, super extroverted, had to keep in contact and had to keep going, loved to talk about anything and everything for hours. Very jarring.

I didn’t think this meme would call me out today but here we are. My social battery approves.

Well yeah but that is because i always thought the alternative to that would be being tortured by other prisoners
