Emperor Ferdinand I of the Austrian Empire was emperor from 1835 till 1848, when he abdicated after the Revolutions of 1848. A Habsburg, Ferdinand suffered from severe inbreeding, which caused him to develop Hydrocephalus, which left him with SEVERE seizures (so severe it apparently even affected his wedding) and with a massively enlarged cranium, leading to his... interesting portraits. In the 1860s Ferdinand was captured on photo for the first time, revealing that not only were his portraits quite close to reality, but also that his forehead really *was* that big.

Im gonna be honest, the artist did a good job making him look good while not lying in the painting either. He looks much better in the painting than the photo, but it still looks like him.
